  • Accenture Plc. dropped 5.35% to $290.0 after the consulting company reported better-than-expected quarterly earnings, but new orders fell short of expectations.

    Revenue in the fiscal third quarter ending on May 31 jumped to $17.73 billion from $16.47 billion, net income edged up to $2.20 billion from $1.93 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose to $3.49 from $3.04 a year ago.

    New bookings in the quarter declined 6% to $19.7 billion and 7% in local currency from a year earlier, as consulting new bookings were $9.08 billion and managed services new bookings were $10.62 billion.

    The company proposed a quarterly cash dividend of $1.48 per share, representing a 15% increase from a year ago, and also repurchased 6.0 million shares for a total of $1.8 billion in the quarter.

    The technology and business outsourcing services provider guided full-year revenue to grow between 6% and 7% in local currency, compared to $64.90 billion, and diluted earnings per share between $12.77 and $12.89, compared to $11.44 in 2024, respectively.

  • Accenture Plc. gained 1.5% to $305.32 after the consulting services company reported results for the second quarter of fiscal 2025 ending in February.

    Revenue increased to $16.66 billion from $15.80 billion, net income jumped to $1.79 billion from $1.67 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose to $2.82 from $2.63 a year ago.

    The company narrowed its full-year revenue growth forecast to 5% to 7%, and expects foreign exchange impact of approximately negative 0.5%.

    The operating margin is seen between 15.6% and 15.7%, an expansion of 10 to 20 basis points over the adjusted operating margin.

    Accenture estimated diluted earnings per share in 2025 to be between $12.55 and $12.79, compared to $11.57 a year ago.

    During the second quarter, new bookings were $20.91 billion, down 3% in U.S. dollars and flat in local currency compared to the same quarter in 2024.

    Consulting new bookings in the quarter were $10.47 billion and managed services new bookings were $10.44 billion.

  • Accenture dropped 6.5% to $356.50 after the information services provider's revenue outlook outweighed earnings in the fiscal second quarter. 

    Revenue in the second quarter was flat at $15.8 billion, net income increased to $1.7 billion from $1.55 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose to $2.63 from $2.39 a year ago. 

    New bookings for the quarter were $21.6 billion, with consulting bookings of $10.5 billion and managed services bookings of $11.1 billion. 

    The company declared a quarterly cash dividend of $1.29 per share payable on May 15 to shareholders on record on April 18. 

    During the quarter, the company repurchased or redeemed 3.8 million shares for a total of $1.3 billion, and about $4.6 billion were still available under the stock repurchase plan as of February 29. 

    The company guided fiscal third quarter revenue between $16.25 billion and $16.85 billion, falling between negative 1% and positive 3% when measured in local currency from a year ago. 

    The company also estimated annual revenue growth to be in the range of 1% to 3%, compared to a previous estimate between 2% and 5%, assuming no impact of foreign currency translation on its results.

  • Accenture declined 0.2% to $341.20 after the management consulting and tech services provider reported better-than-expected quarterly earnings, but the company's guidance fell short of market expectations.

    Revenue in the fiscal first quarter ending in November increased 3% to $16.2 billion from $15.74 billion, net income advanced to $2.0 billion from $1.99 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose to $3.10 from $3.08 a year ago.

    During the quarter, the company repurchased 3.8 million shares for a total of $1.2 billion, and the company announced a quarterly cash dividend of $1.29 per share to shareholders on record on January 18 and payable on February 15.

    The company estimated fiscal second quarter revenue between $15.40 billion and $16.0 billion, a decline of 2% to an increase of 2% in local currency, including a negative 0.5% foreign exchange impact compared to a year ago.

    The company estimated its fiscal second quarter GAAP diluted earnings per share to range between $11.41 and $11.76, an increase of 6% to 9% from a year ago.

  • Accenture Plc declined 1.9% to 301.38 a day after the information technology services provider reported better-than-expected sales and earnings but trimmed its annual revenue growth outlook slightly.  

    Revenue in the fiscal third quarter ending in May increased 3% to $16.6 billion and 5% in local currency. 

    New bookings in the quarter totaled $17.2 billion, including consulting bookings of $8.9 billion and  managed services bookings of $8.3 billion.

    Net income increased to $2.0 billion from $1.78 billion and diluted earnings per share rose to $3.15 from $2.79 a year ago. 

    The company forecasted fiscal fourth quarter revenue between $15.75 billion and $16.35 billion, an increase between 2% and 6% in local currency. 

    The company trimmed its full-year revenue growth estimate to a new range between 8% and 9%, from the previous range between 8% and 10%. 

    The company increased its quarterly dividend by 15% to $1.12 a share to holders of stock on July 13 payable on August 15. 

    Accenture repurchased 2.8 million of its own shares for $789 million during the fiscal third quarter and about $3.5 billion are still available for its stock repurchase at the end of May.
