  • Broadcom dropped 13% to $418.91 after the advanced chipmaker's outlook fell short of some investors. 

    Revenue in the fiscal second quarter ending on May 3 increased 48% to $22.2 billion from $15.0 billion, net income soared 88% to $9.3 billion from $5.0 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose 85% to $1.91 from $1.03 a year ago. 

    The company's Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of 65 cents payable on June 30 to shareholders on record on June 22. 

    The company guided fiscal third-quarter revenue of $29.4 billion and an adjusted operating margin of 68% of protected revenue.

  • Broadcom Inc. fell 0.7% to $332.41 despite the provider of semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions’ net income swinging to a profit from a year ago in the fiscal third quarter.

    Consolidated revenue inched higher to $15.95 billion from $13.07 billion, net income swung to a profit of $4.14 billion from a loss of $1.88 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose to an income of 85 cents from a loss of 40 cents a year ago.

    The company's board declared a cash dividend of $0.59 per share, payable on September 30 to shareholders on record on September 22.

    During the third quarter, Broadcom returned $2.8 billion to shareholders through cash dividends.

    The company estimated fiscal fourth-quarter revenue of approximately $17.4 billion and adjusted EBITDA to be approximately 67% of projected revenue.

    "Broadcom achieved record third-quarter revenue, driven by continued strength in custom AI accelerators, networking, and VMware," said Hock Tan, president and chief executive officer. 

    AI revenue in Q3 grew 63% year-over-year to $5.2 billion. 

    We expect this growth to accelerate further in the fourth quarter, with AI semiconductor revenue projected to reach $6.2 billion—marking eleven consecutive quarters of growth, as our customers continue to invest aggressively.”

  • Broadcom Inc. dropped 4.2% to $249.00 despite the provider of semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions reporting higher earnings for its second quarter of fiscal 2025 ending on May 4.

    Revenue edged up to $15.0 billion from $12.49 billion, net income jumped to $4.96 billion from $2.12 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose to $1.03 from 44 cents a year ago.

    The company repurchased 25.3 million shares for $4.22 billion in the quarter.

    In addition, Broadcom announced a quarterly cash dividend of 59 cents per share, payable on June 30 to shareholders on record on June 20.

    The company guided third-quarter revenue to be approximately $15.8 billion, compared to $13.1 billion a year earlier.

  • Broadcom Inc. surged 10.9% to $199.07 after the provider of semiconductor and infrastructure software solutions reported results for the fiscal first quarter of 2025.

    Net revenue increased to $14.92 billion from $11.96 billion, net income surged to $5.50 billion from $1.32 billion, and earnings per diluted share rose to $1.14 from 28 cents a year ago.

    The company approved a quarterly cash dividend of 59 cents per share, payable on March 31 to stockholders on record as of March 20.

    Broadcom guided for the second quarter revenue of approximately $14.9 billion, up 19% from $12.49 billion a year ago, and adjusted EBITDA of 66% of projected revenue, compared to 59% of revenue in the same quarter in 2024.
