  • Citigroup Inc. gained 3.7% to $90.72 after the New York-based bank reported results for the second quarter of 2025.

    Revenue decreased 7% to $20 billion from $21.7 billion, net income declined 20% to $3.2 billion from $4 billion, and diluted earnings per share fell to $1.50 from $1.96 a year ago.

    The company’s operating expenses were down 2% to $13.2 billion compared to the prior year.

    The company guided full-year revenue to be near the upper end of its previous guidance of $84 billion, and the company raised its dividend to 60 cents per share from 56 cents after the completion of the stress test on July 2.

    Revenue increased 3% to $21.60 billion from $21.02 billion, net income jumped 21% to $4.06 billion from $3.37 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose to $1.96 from $1.58 a year ago.

    The company’s operating expenses were down 5% to $13.4 billion compared to the prior year.

    The financial services company returned a total of approximately $2.8 billion to common shareholders during the quarter in the form of dividends and share repurchases.

    Revenue increased 1% to $20.3 billion from $20.1 billion, net income fell 9% to $3.2 billion from $3.5 billion, and diluted earnings per share fell to $1.51 from $1.63 a year ago.

    Total revenue in the second quarter increased 4% to $20.1 billion from $19.4 billion, net income advanced 10% to $3.2 billion from $2.9 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose to $1.52 from $1.33 a year earlier.

    Revenue in the fourth quarter decreased 3% to $17.4 billion, net income swung to a loss of $1.8 billion from a profit of $3.5 billion, and diluted earnings per share declined to ($1.16) from $1.16 a year ago.
