• Salesforce Inc. declined 5.6% to $242.15 despite the customer management software developer reporting a 36% increase in net income in the second quarter ending on July 31.

    Consolidated revenue increased to $10.2 billion from $9.3 billion, net income jumped to $1.9 billion from $1.4 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose to $1.96 from $1.47 a year ago.

    During the second quarter, Salesforce returned a total of $2.6 billion to shareholders through share repurchases and dividends, including $2.2 billion in share repurchases and $399 million in dividends.

    Salesforce announced an additional $20 billion in share repurchase authorization, increasing the total program size to $50 billion.

    The company guided third-quarter revenue to be between $10.24 billion and $10.29 billion, and diluted earnings per share between $1.60 and $1.62.

    However, the company's revenue outlook for the current quarter and full year fell short of market expectations. 

    Salesforce guided full-year revenue to be between $41.1 billion and $41.3 billion, and diluted earnings per share between $6.99 and $7.03.

    “We remain on track for fiscal 2026 to be a record year with nearly $15 billion in operating cash flow,” said Marc Benioff, Chair and CEO, Salesforce.

    Annual Recurring Revenue from Data Cloud and AI units increased 120% from a year ago, reaching $1.2 billion. Since the launch of Agentforce, Salesforce has closed over 12,500 deals, including more than 6,000 paid deals. 

    In the second quarter, the company secured 60+ deals valued at over $1 million that included both Data Cloud and AI.

  • Salesforce.com Inc. advanced 1.3% to $279.68 after the customer management software provider reported strong results in the fiscal first-quarter 2026.

    Revenue edged up to $9.83 billion from $9.13 billion, net income jumped to $1.54 billion from $1.53 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose to $1.59 from $1.56 a year ago.

    During the quarter, the company returned $3.1 billion to shareholders, including $2.7 billion in share repurchases and $402 million in dividends.

    The company guided second-quarter revenue to be between $10.11 billion and $10.16 billion, an increase of 8% to 9% from $9.33 billion, and GAAP diluted earnings per share between $1.80 and $1.82, compared to $1.47 a year earlier, respectively.

    For the full year, the software company estimated revenue to be between $41.0 billion and $41.3 billion, up 8% to 9% from $37.9 billion, and GAAP diluted earnings per share between $7.15 and $7.21, compared to $6.36 in the previous year, respectively.

    Revenue increased to $9.99 billion from $9.29 billion, net income jumped to $1.71 billion from $1.45 billion, and earnings per diluted share climbed to $1.75 from $1.47 a year ago.

    The company guided fiscal 2026 revenue between $40.5 billion and $40.9 billion, up 7% to 8% compared to $37.9 billion in fiscal 2025.

    Subscription and support revenue is expected to increase by approximately 8.5% from the previous financial year.

  • Salesforce inched up 0.5% to $301.36 after the customer relationship management software reported better-than-expected quarterly results but guided revenue growth of less than 9% in the current fiscal year. 

    Revenue in the fourth quarter increased 11% to $9.29 billion, net income swung to a profit of $1.44 billion from a loss of $98 million, and diluted earnings per share were $1.47 compared to a loss of 10 cents a year ago. 

    The company guided fiscal year 2025 first quarter revenue between $9.12 billion and $9.17 billion, and GAAP diluted earnings per share between $1.42 and $1.44. 

    For the full-year fiscal year 2025, the company estimated revenue between $37.7 billion and $38.0 billion, and GAAP diluted earnings per share between $6.07 and $6.15.
