• Gitlab Inc. declined 10.3% to $22.92 after the company announced its restructuring plan and reaffirmed its first quarter and full-year 2027 revenue estimates. 

    The software company plans to reduce its country footprint by 30%, from 60, and accelerate its investment in agentic AI and organize into smaller and more focused product development teams to accelerate the release of new products. 

    Chief Executive Officer William Staples reiterated quarterly revenue to range between $253 million and $255 million, confirming the original estimate released on March 3.

  • GitLab Inc. dropped 9% to $43.70, and the software developer’s net income swung to a loss in the latest quarter ending on July 31.

    Consolidated revenue edged higher to $212.7 million from $163.2 million, net income swung to a loss of $10 million from a profit of $12.2 million, and diluted earnings per share swung to a loss of 6 cents from a profit of 8 cents a year ago.

    The company guided third-quarter revenue to be between $238 million and $239 million, non-GAAP operating income between $31 million and $32 million, and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share between 19 cents and 20 cents.

    The company said customers with annual recurring revenue (ARR) over $5,000 grew 11% from a year ago to 10,338, while customers with ARR over $100,000 rose 25% to 1,344. 

    The dollar-based net retention rate remained healthy at 121%, reflecting strong expansion within the existing customer base. 

    Total remaining performance obligations (RPO) increased 32% year-over-year to $988.2 million, and current RPO grew 31% to $621.6 million, highlighting strong future revenue visibility.

  • GitLab Inc. plunged 12.6% to $42.40 after the software developer platform operator reported first-quarter of fiscal 2026 results ending on April 30.

    Revenue edged up to $214.51 million from $169.19 million, net loss narrowed to $35.87 million from a loss of $55.23 million, and diluted loss per share shrank to 22 cents from a loss of 35 cents a year ago.

    The company guided second-quarter revenue to be between $226.0 million and $227.0 million, non-GAAP operating income between $23.0 million and $24.0 million, and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share between 16 cents and 17 cents.

    In comparison, revenue in the second quarter of fiscal 2025 was $182.6 million, non-GAAP operating income was $18.2 million, and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share were 15 cents.

    For the full fiscal year 2026, the company estimated revenue to be between $936 million and $942 million, non-GAAP operating income between $117 million and $121 million, and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share between 74 cents and 75 cents.

    In comparison, full-year 2025 revenue was $759.2 million, non-GAAP operating income was $37.4 million, and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share were 33 cents.

  • GitLab Inc. gained 1.9% to $57.32 after the provider of a software framework for web developers reported a revenue increase in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2025.

    Revenue increased to $211.4 million from $163.8 million, net income rose to $10.78 million from a loss of $36.87 million, and earnings per diluted share jumped to 6 cents from a loss of 24 cents a year ago.

    The company guided for the first quarter of 2026 revenue between $212 million and $213 million, up from $169.2 million a year ago, and non-GAAP earnings per diluted share between 14 cents and 15 cents, up from 3 cents in the same quarter in 2025.

    For the full year 2026, GitLab estimated revenue between $936 million and $942 million, up from $759.2 million a year ago, and non-GAAP earnings per diluted share between 68 cents and 72 cents, compared to 74 cents in 2025.

  • GitLab Inc. jumped 12.7% to $74.25, and the developer software tools company reported better-than-expected adjusted earnings and announced the appointment of a new chief executive effective today. 

    Revenue in the fiscal third quarter ending in October soared 31% to $196 million from $149.7 million, net income swung to a profit of $29.6 million from a loss of $285.2 million, and diluted earnings per share were 18 cents compared to a loss of $1.84 a year earlier. 

    The company guided revenue in the fiscal fourth quarter to range between $205 million and $206 million and adjusted earnings per share between 22 cents and 23 cents. 

    The company named Bill Staples as new chief executive, succeeding CEO and co-founder Sid Sijbrandij, "who is stepping down from day-to-day activities to focus on his health."
