Humana Inc. traded up 0.3% to $263.10 after the health insurance company reported first-quarter 2025 results.
Revenue edged up to $32.11 billion from $29.61 billion, net income surged to $1.24 billion from $741 million, and diluted earnings per share rose to $10.30 from $6.11 a year ago.
The company guided fiscal 2025 earnings per share to be approximately $16.25, compared to $16.21 a year ago, while revising GAAP earnings per share to approximately $14.68 from the previous estimate of $15.88 and compared to $9.98 in 2024.

Humana Inc declined 1.2% to $494.0 after the health insurance company said chief executive Bruce Broussard will step down in the second-half of 2024.
The company named health care industry veteran Jim Rechtin as President and Chief Operating Officer effective January 8, 2024, as part of a long-planned CEO transition and Rechtin will assume chief executive's role after Broussard steps down.

Humana said the fourth quarter revenue increased 6.6% to $22.4 billion and net loss rose to $18 million from $13 million and diluted loss per share increased to 12 cents from 11 cents a year ago.
