Intel Corp. plunged 9.5% to $20.48 after the technology company reported second-quarter 2025 results.
Revenue inched higher to $12.9 billion from $12.8 billion, net loss expanded to $3 billion from a loss of $1.6 billion, and diluted loss per share advanced to 67 cents from a loss of 38 cents a year ago.
The company guided revenue in the next quarter to range between $12.6 billion and $13.6 billion.
The company also forecasted a diluted loss per share of $0.24 for the quarter.

Intel Corp. eased 0.1% to $20.02 after the technology company reported first-quarter 2025 results.
Revenue inched down to $12.67 billion from $12.72 billion, net loss widened to $821 million from a loss of $381 million, and diluted loss per share widened to 19 cents from a loss of 9 cents a year ago.
The company guided second-quarter 2025 revenue to be between $11.2 billion and $12.4 billion, compared to $12.83 billion in 2024, and net loss per share of 32 cents, compared to a loss of 38 cents a year earlier.

Revenue dropped 7% to $14.3 billion from $15.4 billion; net income swung to a loss of $153 million from a profit of $2.7 billion, and diluted loss per share was 3 cents compared to a positive 63 cents a year ago.
Intel received $1.1 billion from the Department of Commerce under the U.S. Chips and Science Act.
For the first quarter of 2025, the company estimates revenue between $11.7 billion and $12.7 billion and a loss per share of 27 cents.

Intel Corp. rose 7% to $23.01 after the advanced chipmaker reported loss in its latest quarter but lifted its annual outlook.
Revenue in the third quarter declined 6% to $13.3 billion from $14.2 billion, net income swung to a loss of $16.6 billion from a profit of $0.3 billion, and diluted earnings per share were $3.88 compared to 7 cents a year ago.
Net income in the quarter was impacted by the $6 billion charges linked to accelerated depreciation and goodwill impairment and $9.9 billion charges related to the establishment of a valuation allowance against U.S. deferred tax assets.
The company estimated fourth-quarter earnings to range between $13.3 billion and $14.3 billion and GAAP earnings per share of a loss of 24 cents.

Revenue in the second quarter declined 1% to $12.8 billion from $12.9 billion, net income swung to a loss of $1.6 billion from a profit of $1.5 billion, and diluted earnings per share were a loss of 38 cents compared to a profit of 35 cents a year ago.
The advanced chipmaker announced its deepest restructuring plan in forty years and planned to eliminate 15,000 jobs in an effort to reduce costs by $10 billion.
The company announced a quarterly dividend of 12.5 cents per share payable on September 1 to shareholders on record on August 7.
In addition, the company announced the suspension of its dividend starting in the fourth quarter.
