MongoDB Inc. jumped 30.5% to $279.74 after the data storage company reported sharply higher than expected quarterly sales and earnings, and the company's sales outlook in the current quarter surpassed expectations.
Consolidated revenue increased to $591.4 million from $478.1 million, net loss declined to $47 billion from $54.5 billion, and diluted losses per share fell to $58 from $74 a year ago.
Adjusted earnings per share jumped 42.5% to $1.0, surpassing the estimate of 67 cents as polled by FactSet.
The subscription-based revenue increased 23% from a year ago to $572 million, easily surpassing market expectations.
The company guided fiscal third-quarter revenue between $582 million and $597 million, and adjusted earnings per share to range between 76 cents and 79 cents.
For the fiscal year, the company estimated revenue between $2.34 billion and $2.36 billion and adjusted earnings per share to fall between $3.64 and $3.63.

MongoDB Inc. surged 19.2% to $238.01 after the data storage company reported higher revenue in the first quarter of fiscal 2026, ending on April 30.
Revenue edged up to $549.01 million from $450.56 million, net loss shrank to $37.63 million from a loss of $80.59 million, and diluted loss per share narrowed to 46 cents from a loss of $1.10 a year ago.
The company added 2,600 customers in the quarter, with over 57,100 total customers as of April 30.
The data storage provider issued an additional share repurchase authorization of $800 million, bringing the total buyback authorization to $1 billion.
The company guided second-quarter revenue to be between $548.0 million and $553.0 million, compared to $478.1 million, and non-GAAP earnings per share between 62 cents and 66 cents, compared to 70 cents a year earlier, respectively.
Non-GAAP income from operations is expected to be between $55.0 million and $59.0 million in the second quarter, compared to $52.5 million in the previous year.
For the full year, MongoDB estimated sales to be between $2.25 billion and $2.29 billion, compared to $2.01 billion, and non-GAAP earnings per share between $2.94 and $3.12, compared to $3.66 a year ago, respectively.
Non-GAAP income from operations is expected to be between $267.0 million and $287.0 million in fiscal 2026, compared to $299.3 million in the previous year.

Fourth-quarter 2025 revenue increased to $548.40 million from $458.00 million, net income jumped to $15.83 million from a loss of $55.46 million, and earnings per diluted share rose to 19 cents from a loss of 77 cents a year ago.
The company guided for the first quarter of 2026 revenue between $524 million and $529 million, up from $450.6 million a year ago, and non-GAAP net income per share between 63 cents and 67 cents, compared to 51 cents in the same quarter in 2025.
Non-GAAP income from operations is expected to be between $54 million and $58 million, up from $32.8 million in the first quarter of 2025.
MongoDB announced a stock buyback program of $200 million to offset the impact of last year’s acquisition of Voyage AI, a provider of embedding and reranking models that power next-generation artificial intelligence applications.
