RH fell 5% to $207.99 after the home furnishing retailer reported a weaker-than-expected sales in the fiscal second quarter ending on August 2.
Consolidated revenue decreased to $899.2 million from $929 million, net income jumped to $51.7 million from $29 million, and diluted earnings per share rose to $2.62 from $1.45 a year ago.
The company guided full-year revenue to increase between 9% and 11%, adjusted operating margin to rise between 13% and 14%, adjusted EBITDA margin to be between 19% and 20%, and free cash flow to be between $250 million and $300 million.
The company guided third-quarter revenue to increase between 8% and 10%, adjusted operating margin to rise between 12% and 34%, and adjusted EBITDA margin to be between 18% and 19%.
The outlook reflects a 270-bps operating margin impact from international expansion and 120 bps from tariffs, net of mitigations.
During the second quarter, RH Corp returned a total of $2.2 billion to shareholders through share repurchases.

RH dropped 7.5% to $211.0 after the furniture retailer reported weaker-than-expected revenue in the fiscal second quarter ending on August 2.
Revenue rose 8.4% to $899.2 million from $829.7 million, net income soared 79% to $51.7 million from $28.95 million, and diluted earnings per share advanced to $2.62 from $1.45 a year ago.
The furniture retailer guided third-quarter revenue growth between 8% and 10% and adjusted operating margin of 12% and 13%; full-year revenue growth between 8% and 10%; and adjusted operating margin of 13% to 14%.

RH Corp. surged 20.2% to $212.56 after the home furnishing retailer reported results for the first quarter of fiscal 2025 ending on May 3.
Revenue jumped to $813.95 million from $726.96 million, net income swung to a profit of $8.04 million from a loss of $3.62 million, and diluted earnings per share swung to a profit of 40 cents from a loss of 20 cents a year ago.
“We are forecasting to generate $250 million to $350 million in free cash flow in 2025,” the company said in a release to investors.
The furniture company has continued to shift sourcing out of China and expects receipts to decrease from 16% in the first quarter to 2% in the fourth quarter, with a meaningful portion of the tariff absorbed by its vendor partners.
“We are now projecting that 52% of our upholstered furniture will be produced in the United States and 21% will be produced in Italy by the end of fiscal 2025,” the company added in the statement.
RH guided second-quarter revenue to grow between 8% and 10% and full-year sales to grow between 10% and 13% amid expansion initiatives globally.

RH plunged 26.1% to $184.25 after the retailer of luxury home furniture and decorative products reported fourth quarter of 2024 results.
Revenue increased to $812.41 million from $738.26 million, net income jumped to $13.92 million from $11.38 million, and diluted earnings per share edged up to 69 cents from 57 cents a year ago.
For the full year, revenue climbed to $3.18 billion from $3.03 billion, net income slumped to $72.41 million from $127.56 million, and diluted earnings per share fell to $3.62 from $5.91 a year ago.
The company guided fiscal first quarter 2025 revenue growth to be between 12.5% and 7%, compared to $726.96 million a year ago, an adjusted operating margin of 6.5% to 7.0%, and an adjusted EBITDA margin of 12.5% to 13.0%.
For the full fiscal year 2025, the retailer estimated revenue growth to be between 10% and 13%, adjusted operating margin between 14% and 15%, and adjusted EBITDA margin between 20% and 21%.
The company intends to open seven design galleries, two outdoor galleries, and two new concept galleries during 2025.
“We believe post each opening we will begin to have the scale to support the necessary advertising investments to accelerate our growth in Europe,” the company said in a release to investors.
The lifestyle products retailer expects “an inflection of the business in Europe as the company begins to open in the important brand-building markets of Paris in 2025, plus London and Milan in 2026,” the company added in the statement.

RH jumped 13.5% to $432.99 after the home furnishing company lifted its fourth quarter and full-year outlook.
The retailer estimated revenue in the fourth quarter to rise between 18% and 20% and in the full year to advance between 6.8% and 7.2%.
Revenue in the third quarter ending on November 2 increased to $811.7 million from $751.2 million, net income swung to a profit of $33.2 million from a loss of $2.2 million, and diluted earnings per share were $1.66 compared to a loss of 12 cents a year earlier.
