Rivian Automotive Inc. eased 0.4% to $12.92 despite the electric vehicle manufacturer reporting revenue growth in the fourth quarter ending in December.
Revenue increased to $1.73 billion from $1.31 billion, net loss shrank to $744 million from a loss of $1.52 billion, and net loss per diluted share declined to 70 cents from a loss of $1.58 a year ago.
For fiscal 2025, the company estimated it would deliver between 46,000 and 51,000 vehicles, compared to 51,579 vehicles in 2024.
Capital expenditures are expected to be between $1.60 billion and $1.70 billion, compared to a negative $1.14 billion, and adjusted EBITDA is expected to be between $1.70 billion and $1.90 billion, compared to an EBITDA loss of $2.68 billion in 2024.

Rivian Automotive dropped 17.2% to $12.74 after the company reported weaker-than-expected quarterly results and lowered its 2024 electric vehicle production estimate to 57,000, compared to 57,232 in 2023.
Revenue in the fourth quarter increased to $1.32 billion from $0.66 billion, net loss declined to $1.52 billion from $1.72 billion, and diluted loss per share shrank to $1.58 from $1.87 a year ago.

Revenue in the third quarter jumped to $1.1 billion from $536 million, net loss fell to $1.4 billion from $1.8 billion, and diluted loss per share decreased to $1.19 from $1.57 a year ago.
During the quarter, vehicle deliveries jumped to 15,564 from 6,584 a year ago.
The company increased 2023 production guidance by 2,000 to 54,000 vehicles.

Rivian Automotive Inc dropped 16.5% to $19.78 after the company said it plans to raise $1.5 billion through the sale of convertible bonds.
The electric vehicle maker also estimated third quarter sales between $1.29 billion and $1.31 billion and reported decline in cash and cash equivalent.

Rivian Automotive Inc was nearly unchanged at $24.80 after the maker of electric vehicles narrowed its quarterly loss and revised higher its production target.
Rivian said second quarter revenue jumped to $1.1 billion from $364 million and net loss shrank to $1.2 billion from $1.7 billion and diluted pre share declined to $1.27 from $1.89 a year ago.
The company forecasted 2023 production target of 52,000 from the previous estimate of 50,000 and higher than 25,000 from a year ago.
The company delivered 12,640 vehicles in the second quarter, sharply higher than 4,467 vehicles a year ago.
