Revenue surged to $5.60 billion from $4.74 billion, net income edged up to $1.80 billion from $1.25 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose to 99 cents from 68 cents a year ago.
The company added $137.7 billion in core net new assets during the quarter, an increase of 44% from a year earlier, bringing the total client assets up 9% to $9.93 trillion.
“New brokerage account openings increased 8% year-over-year to 1.2 million for the quarter, propelling total active brokerage accounts to 37.0 million,” the company said in a release to investors.
The brokerage company increased its quarterly dividend by 8% and repurchased $1.5 billion worth of common stock.

Core net new assets brought to the company by new and existing clients totaled $48.0 billion, an increase of 44% from $33.4 billion a year ago.
Total client assets equaled $10.28 trillion as of month-end, up 16% from $8.88 trillion in February 2024 and down 1% from $10.33 trillion in January 2025.
New brokerage accounts opened during the month totaled 362,000, representing the fifteenth consecutive month of at least 300,000 new account openings.
February daily average trades rose 1% month-over-month to 7.45 million, driven by a continued interest in equity securities.
Transactional sweep cash increased by $4.7 billion to end February at $404.3 billion, compared to $399.6 billion in January 2025 and compared to $403.2 billion in February 2024.

New brokerage accounts opened during the month totaled 433,000, an increase of 18% versus January 2024.
January daily average trades increased by 7% month-over-month to 7.37 million, driven by sustained market engagement.

Net income jumped 76% to $1.8 billion, or 94 cents a share, compared to $1.1 billion or 51 cents a share in the same quarter a year ago.
Total client assets increased 19% year-over-year to $10.10 trillion.
For the full-year 2024, revenue jumped 4% to $19.61 billion from $18.8 billion, net income surged 17% to $5.94 billion from $5.5 billion, and diluted earnings per share rose to $2.99 from $2.54 a year ago.

Net revenue in the fourth quarter declined 19% to $4.5 billion from $5.5 billion, net income dropped 47% to $1.1 billion from $1.98 billion, and diluted earnings per share fell to 51 cents from 97 cents a year ago.
The company added 3.8 million net new accounts and increased its total client base to 34.8 million.
