  • Zscaler Inc. surged 4.9% to $263.54 after the cloud security provider reported higher revenue in the fiscal third quarter of 2025, but net income swung to a loss.

    Revenue edged up to $678.03 million from $553.20 million, net income swung to a loss of $4.12 million from a profit of $19.12 million, and diluted earnings per share swung to a loss of 3 cents from a profit of 12 cents a year ago.

    The company guided fourth-quarter revenue to be between $705 million and $707 million, compared to $592.9 million, and non-GAAP net income per share between 79 cents and 80 cents, compared to 88 cents a year earlier, respectively.

    For the full year, the cyber security company estimated revenue to be between $2.659 billion and $2.661 billion, compared to $2.168 billion, and non-GAAP net income per share between $3.18 and $3.19, compared to $3.19 a year ago, respectively.

    The company expects non-GAAP income from operations in the fourth quarter to range between $152 million and $154 million, compared to $140.6 million, and for the full year, it will be between $573 million and $575 million, compared to $508.1 million in 2024, respectively.

  • Zscaler Inc. surged 3.5% to $203.28 after the cloud security company reported a 23% revenue increase in the fiscal second quarter of 2025.

    Revenue increased to $647.90 million from $524.99 million, net loss shrank to $7.72 million from a loss of $28.47 million, and loss per share declined to 5 cents from a loss of 19 cents a year ago.

    The company guided for the third quarter revenue between $665 million and $667 million, compared to $553.2 million a year ago, and non-GAAP net income per share between 75 cents and 76 cents, down from 88 cents in the same quarter in 2024.

    Non-GAAP income from operations is expected to be between $140 million and $142 million, up from $139.8 million in the third quarter of 2024.

    For the full year, Zscaler estimated revenue between $2.64 billion and $2.65 billion, up from $2.17 billion a year ago, and non-GAAP net income per share between $3.04 and $3.09, down from $3.19 in 2024.

    Non-GAAP income from operations is expected to be between $562 million and $572 million, up from $508.1 million in 2024.

  • Zscaler declined 5.4% to $197.25 after the company's fiscal second quarter outlook fell short of market expectations. 

    Revenue in the fiscal first quarter ending in October rose 26% to $628 million from $496.7 million, net loss shrank to $12 million from $33.5 million, and diluted loss per share eased to 8 cents from 23 cents a year ago. 

    The company estimated revenue in the fiscal 2025 second quarter to range between $633 million and $635 million and adjusted earnings per share between 68 cents and 69 cents. 

    For the full year 2025, the company estimated revenue between $2.623 billion and $2.643 billion and adjusted earnings per share to range between $2.94 and $2.99.

  • Zscaler decreased 6.1% to $179.50 after the cyber-security company reported quarterly results and offered a muted outlook.

    Revenue in the fiscal first quarter ending in October rose 40% to $496.7 million from $355.5 million; net loss shrank to $33.5 million from $68.1 million; and net loss per share fell to 23 cents from 48 cents a year ago.

    Cash provided by operations was $260.8 million, or 53% of revenue, compared to $128.5 million, or 36% of revenue, in the first quarter of fiscal 2023.

    Free cash flow was $224.7 million, or 45% of revenue, compared to $95.6 million, or 27% of revenue, in the first quarter of fiscal 2023.

    The company estimated second-quarter fiscal 2024 revenue to range between $505 million and $507 million and non-GAPP income from operations between $84 million and $86 million.

    For the full-year fiscal 2024, the company estimated revenue between $2.09 billion and $2.10 billion, non-GAAP operating income between $360 million and $365 million, and non-GAAP diluted earnings per share between $2.45 and $2.48 based on 181 fully diluted outstanding shares.

    Revenue in the fiscal third quarter ending in April increased 46% to $418.8 million. 

    Net loss declined to $46.0 million, compared to $101.4 million and diluted loss per share fell to 32 cents from 72 cents a year ago. 

    The company estimated revenue for the fiscal fourth quarter between $429 million and $431 million and for the full-year between $1.591 billion to $1.593 billion.
